What makes you tick?
I’m driven by figuring things out especially when the path isn’t immediately clear. Whether it’s building from scratch, or learning something new, I enjoy starting from zero and making steady progress. Over time, I’ve learned to lean into difficult things rather than avoid them.
Outside of work, I reset by getting outdoors. Running and hiking build discipline and consistency, and I’m drawn to the idea, often associated with Eliud Kipchoge, that only the disciplined ones are truly free.
Why are you so passionate about helping founders and people-based businesses?
My experience in the African startup space, through roles with Hult Prize and Zindigi, gave me early exposure to teams solving real-world problems. I’m motivated by that intersection of innovation and impact and by the process of turning ideas into something that can scale. Seeing that growth is what drives me.
What is a company you really admire and why?
I really admire DJI. I love how they’ve built such incredible drone technology that makes it possible to capture nature in a really cinematic way. There’s something about how their products blend engineering and storytelling that really resonates with me, especially given how much I enjoy being out in nature.
